- related language records suggest that this word may once have meant various kinds of nets or baskets, such as a fishing net.

- made out of kangaroo and wallabby sinews.- fences of bush would be built and holes left at intervals. At these apertures a triangular bag of sinews (mindi) was tied. It had a string looped around the opening. When the animal entered the end, and the noose string, which was tied to a branch, closed the mouth of the bag.
