- this word was developed from the birth-order terms garadu/gariya (meaning 8th daughter/son) + burlayi (two).

- another word is also recorded for four. In old Nharangga these were probably just alternative words with the same meaning. Yara burlayi is the more commonly recorded.- the Nharangga Language Workshop decided to use this as the usual word, to match with yara burlayi ngari five.- yara another, burlayi two.
ngari
- note that a completely different word is also recorderd for one. In old Nharangga these were possibly just alternative words for the same meaning. Ngari appears to mean literally solo, alone.- for the sake of consistency, the Nharangga Language Workshop are no longer using the word ngari to mean one by itself.
